Trauma Informed Domestic Abuse Practitioner


  • Fixed term contract until 30th November 2021 with the possibility of extension subjected to funding
  • Full time 37 hours per week (some out of hours work might be expected)
  • Salary pro-rata of £26,470 per annum plus contribution towards clinical supervision
  • Additional benefits include training, 24 days annual leave plus statutory holidays and birthday leave (pro-rata for part time staff)

Stockport Without Abuse is a highly regarded, specialist charity educating, supporting and empowering individuals and families affected by domestic abuse.

An exciting opportunity has risen within SWA to deliver interventions to support with improving mental health of victims of domestic abuse that have complex needs and have a history of trauma.

Main purpose of the post: 

To develop and deliver a range of interventions to women, men and non-binary victims experiencing domestic abuse with complex needs. The aim is to support victims in understanding the impact of complex trauma, reduce symptoms of trauma and improve mental health and well-being.
