Fixed term contract to 31st March 2021, with the view to extend dependent on funding
Part time 14 hours per week
Salary pro-rata of £22,700
Stockport without Abuse is a highly regarded, specialist charity supporting, empowering and educating individuals & families affected by domestic abuse.
We are seeking an experienced, committed and creative Male Domestic Abuse Worker to join our amazing team.

Main purpose of the post:
To lead, on the development, co-ordination and delivery of support for male victims, of domestic abuse, and their families where relevant, in Stockport.
Working in partnership with our SWA refuge caseworkers, IDVA and trauma informed teams, and with statutory and voluntary partners within Stockport and across Greater Manchester to raise awareness of the needs of male victims accessing services and to improve accessibility and improve screening and safeguarding of male victims.
Working holistically with men who may have complex and multiple needs, the Male Domestic Abuse Worker will make interventions to help build upon existing personal strengths and support networks to enhance resilience, develop self-esteem and minimise the threat of harm to themselves or others.
