Domestic Abuse Resettlement Worker

Stockport Without Abuse (SWA) is a grassroots charity committed to supporting our vision of everyone having a right to live in safety, and to have a future without fear of domestic abuse.  We work directly with women, men and children who have experienced or are at risk of domestic abuse. We are looking to recruit one full-time and one part-time Resettlement Worker to join our new Resettlement team, to support individuals moving on from high risk relationships.

Main purpose of the post: 

  • Deliver programmes to provide support and empower victims to build and maintain their resilience and confidence;
  • Work holistically with individuals, making interventions to help build upon existing strengths and support networks to enhance resilience, develop self-esteem and minimise the threat of harm to the individuals or others;
  • Support individuals moving on from a high risk relationship and remaining in their own home, or moving on from emergency accommodation;
  • Work toward achieving key performance indicators and outcomes.

Senior Domestic Abuse Resettlement Worker

Stockport Without Abuse (SWA) is a grassroots charity committed to supporting our vision of everyone having a right to live in safety, and to have a future without fear of domestic abuse.  We work directly with women, men and children who have experienced or are at risk of domestic abuse. We are looking to recruit a Senior Domestic Abuse Resettlement Worker to join our new Resettlement team and be part of our Leadership team.

Main purpose of the post: 

  • Shape and design domestic abuse support programme for individuals moving on from a high risk relationship, moving on from emergency accommodation or remaining in their home;
  • Provide management and leadership to the brand new Resettlement team, supporting and guiding your new team to achieve the required key performance indicators;
  • Work closely with the Deputy CEO and Leadership team, providing appropriate information and support;
  • Manage a small caseload and be part of the organisation ‘On Call’ rota.

Hospital Independent Domestic Violence Advisor (IDVA)

Stockport Without Abuse (SWA) is a grassroots charity committed to supporting our vision of everyone having a right to live in safety, and to have a future without fear of domestic abuse.  We work directly with women, men and children who have experienced or are at risk of domestic abuse.

We are looking to recruit two Hospital IDVA’s in partnership with Stockport NHS Foundation Trust, to provide high-quality frontline support. They will work collaboratively within a multi-agency framework consisting of (amongst others) the MARAC partners, Stockport Community Safety Partnership, Children and Adult Safeguarding Services, and other local partners and community projects, to establish a multi-agency response to domestic abuse.

Main purpose of the post: 

  • Deliver a proactive service to those at high- and medium- risk by meeting their identified needs, and provide risk management and safety planning to victims of domestic abuse.
  • Develop and provide education sessions, consultancy and support to other front-line teams within the multi-agency framework, in collaboration with clinical teams within the Trust.
  • Support the empowerment of the patient and assist them in recognising the features and dynamics of domestic abuse present in their personal situation, and support them to regain control of their lives.

Children and Young People’s Team Leader

We are looking to recruit a Children and Young People’s (CYP) Team Leader to join our Children and Young People’s team and lead the delivery of the various CYP programmes within the organisation, and be an active part of our growing Leadership team.

Main purpose of the post: 

  • Provide management and leadership to the CYP team, with responsibility for supporting and guiding the team to achieve their key performance indicators in line with policies and procedures, and represent SWA’s CYP services at relevant professional meetings.
  • Work to shape and design support services for children and young people affected by domestic abuse; research and investigate new development opportunities for the CYP services.
  • Complete research-based evaluation of the CYP work delivered by SWA, and collate essential monitoring and outcome data for the CYP services.
  • Active contribution to the Leadership team and the development ambitions of SWA.

Older Person’s Domestic Abuse Caseworker

Stockport Without Abuse (SWA) is a grassroots charity committed to supporting our vision of everyone having a right to live in safety, and to have a future without fear of domestic abuse.  We work directly with women, men and children who have experienced or are at risk of domestic abuse.

We are looking to recruit an Older Person’s Domestic Abuse Caseworker to join our Community team and deliver safeguarding and therapeutic services to individuals over the age of 55 impacted by domestic abuse on behalf of the STAND TALL service (Tackling Abuse in Later Life)

Main purpose of the post: 

  • To deliver one-to-one support to older victims of domestic abuse at all levels of risk in the community and in safe accommodation, with a genuine interest and understanding in the unique vulnerabilities and risks they face.
  • To identify and attend training conferences relevant to the post, and to participate in the development and delivery of information and materials for older victims.
  • To carry out detailed monitoring and evaluation of all support work in the STAND TALL service, ensuring that adequate and accurate records are kept for all service users.
