Inner Wheel Club of Hazel Grove

SWA had a visit from the Inner Wheel Club of Hazel Grove last week and we were delighted to receive a cheque donation of £100.00 raised from their Easter Bonnets Tea Party! The Inner Wheel club have supported SWA for many years and we are extremely grateful for their on-going support.

Tony Hardy

Tony Hardy completed the Morrisons Great Manchester Run 2015 in a time of 00:57:29 and raised an incredible amount of £3,785 for Stockport Without Abuse!

Tony said "A fit, young friend of mine persuaded me (an aged non-runner) with my dodgy knees and dicky back to enter the Manchester 10k by promising a healthy donation to my chosen charity. I hope you will agree with me that the world can sometimes be a scary place but your own home should be a safe haven.  Everyone should have the right to live their life free from fear, violence and abuse. Stockport Without Abuse provides safe and secure accommodation for women and their children who need to escape domestic abuse. SWA offers support with emotional, financial, legal and housing issues so victims can begin to rebuild their lives."

We are extremely grateful for Tony choosing SWA as his chosen charity and we cannot thank him enough for the amazing amount he has raised.
