Stockport Without Abuse (SWA) is a grassroots charity committed to supporting our vision of everyone having a right to live in safety, and to have a future without fear of domestic abuse. We work directly with women, men and children who have experienced or are at risk of domestic abuse. We are looking to recruit a full-time Business Support Officer to join our administration team and support the CEO, our Board of Trustees, and other colleagues across the organisation. Our ideal candidate is somebody who is able to respond to a wide range of ever-changing administrative demands – particularly recruitment, social media and data management – and has previous experience in an administrative role, ideally within a busy office environment.

Main purpose of the post:

  • Provide 360 support to our entire recruitment process, being a first point of contact to prospecting employees, and setting up new starters for on-boarding with the organisation including preparation of IT equipment and induction documents.

  • Managing our social media accounts, being responsible for strategising and growing our reach, curating innovative and compelling visual and written content, plus moderate management of our website.

  • Supporting the CEO and the Board of Trustees with short- and long-term projects and any ad-hoc duties that may arise with the changing needs of the organisation, its employees and its clients.

  • Annual salary £21,589 per annum, rising by 4% on successful completion of probation

  •  Full time position of 37 hours per week

  • Fixed term 12 month contract, with the possibility of extension subject to funding
