If you or someone you know, or care for is experiencing domestic abuse,

there is help close at hand

In an emergency:

If you are in immediate danger, call 999. If you are unable to speak when you dial 999, use “The Silent Solution” Wait for the operator to speak, then dial 55 on your keypad. This will alert the operator that you are in need of help.

In a non-emergency:

Please contact us on 0161 477 4294. If we cannot take your call or it is not safe for you to talk, leave your name and number. A member of the team will get back to you. Lines are staffed Monday to Thursday from 9am to 5pm and Friday 9am - 4:30pm. There is an answerphone outside of these hours.

  • IDVAs, - our Independent Domestic Violence Advocacy Service are you key point of contact during times of crisis

  • Refuge - we provide safe accommodation for you and you children, but it is more than that, we provide emotional support, help you build your resilience and empower you to rebuild your life again

  • Children and Young People - we work with children who lives are impacted by domestic abuse

  • People Over 55 - domestic abuse in later life can go unrecognised, so we have a specialised service to support you

  • Male Domestic Abuse - we support male victims of domestic abuse

  • Healthcare Based Services - we work with local GPs, hospitals and sexual health clinics and train healthcare providers to identify victims that we then are able to support

  • Housing Move On Support - once the initial crisis is over, we can help you find new accommodation and support you rebuilding your life
